Subbab 01. Celebrating the Being

Now Playing: Sidewalks by The Weeknd

My philosophy lecturer once told me that our existence legitimately biased. Out of nowhere we’re just here, exist, since the unknown time. No body remember the first time they realized that they’re alive. As thrown by the universe and we are here.
How do you know that you’re exist? How do you know that you’re real?
The sign that we’re exist is laid on our nerves, our senses. You know you’re in this world because you can hear sounds, you can see things, you can touch stuffs, you can feel the heartbeat and you can think. You can easily recognize yourself on the mirror. When you’re awake, you know you’re awake—to distinguish the reality and the dream.
“Okay, now i know i’m exist, then what?”
You can’t just exist in this world to increase world population and do nothing. According to Marxist understanding of man is the human being as the product and subject of activity. Know yourself, being and evolve!

Everyone has their own way to celebrate their being.
We need to celebrate our existance by being. According to Nietzsche, man is determined by the play of vital forces and attractions and not by the reason. Kierkegaard gives priority to the act of will made by individual making a choice so they will "gives birth to himself", ceases to be merely a "child of nature" and becomes a conscious personality, a spiritual being, a being that determines itself.

From time to time, I’ve been observing that people has their own way to celebrate their being. There will be no explanation for each people in this world because the world population was estimated to have reached 7.5 billion in April 2017. Let’s say, some people, and put them into pattern.
First, those who celebrate their being by putting it on their profession. The celebration of being is translated into passion. When I was a kid, i wondered why some teacher never show a happiness on their faces when they were teaching. They more like they were doing what to do, not what they need to do. While some street painters i met, their faces look real, energetic, and happy. Those street painters were blending with their work. Now I know that not everyone loves their job. The old saying is, "if you love what you do you will never work a day in your life." I believe that to be true but there are many additional reasons why loving what you do is very important. Imagine if your heart surgeon was not passionate about their career choice. How comfortable would you be going under the knife when the person holding the knife would rather be a car mechanic, but being a surgeon paid better so they did that instead?
Life without passion can become nothing more than an existence. No life is perfect but if your career life is in order then your personal life benefits. Most people work 2/3rd's of their lives. That's a substantial amount of time to be unhappy. Recognize your emotional needs, identify the criteria to attain the career position desired and achieve your destiny. The path might be long and not without challenges but getting there is half the fun.
Second, those who celebrate their being by putting it on their personality. Some people choose not to change their personality to adapt in given environment. They will keep it raw, real, and just the way it is.  Screw what everyone will say, they’ll choose to be the raw version of themselves anyway. Well, I’m not saying it’s a bad choice because I realized every human being is completely unique. Your exact history, experience and perspective, along with your interests, skills and physical makeup, are like no one else’s. We, as human beings, are unique individuals and we must remain mindful of that fact as we live our lives. Your life is yours; my life is mine; and so on for each individual.
While some people choose to be the best version of themselves in order to create sinergy with their environment through put aside their self-centric ego for the sake of community. As humans, we are born with an ego that directly has the potential to affect our actions. In psychology, the ego is usually as a conception about traits of thought, emotion and behaviour which serve to protect, develop and grow the personality. A lot of people think that we can never do anything except out of some sort of self-interest. We always act ultimately for our own sake, they say – for material gain, for prestige, to gain power over others, to avoid suffering some kind of pain. While we may like to think differently, to think we are capable of acting unselfishly or out of a disinterested sense of justice, we are really egoists. That is human nature. However, we always have the ability to reduce this a bad ego within ourselves.

I’ve met several people who really enjoy themselves by doing volunteer activities and spreading kindness. They’re willing to put as much as effort and asset for the sake of others and their own ‘being’ celebration. They believe what they do and they enjoy it. Many of them are looking to meet people and to have fun – plain and simple. They might have just moved to an area or become “empty-nesters”. They want to meet people who they can share time enjoying the same kinds of interests with. Some people find these relationships in the gym; some find them in the workplace; many also find them in the volunteer setting.
